Corner picks: do you go on team style or the numbers?

I make a lot of corners picks, and I've always gone on feel: a side that plays wide and crosses a lot against a team that sits deep should mean plenty of corners. I read a breakdown recently suggesting each team's own corner averages, home and away, tell you more than the style matchup does. Do you go on how teams play, or just the numbers?
