Palmeiras vs Remo preview: a cup-heavy week for Palmeiras, a survival fight for Remo

Palmeiras are in the middle of a demanding run. On Sunday they beat Vasco da Gama 1-0 in the first leg of their Copa do Brasil semi-final, and the second leg is in Rio de Janeiro this Sunday. They are also through to the Copa Libertadores final after knocking out Fluminense on penalties in October. In the Brasileirão, Abel Ferreira's side are second, with 20 wins from 33 games. Thiago Carpini's Remo are second from bottom, but they beat Botafogo 2-1 last week, which ended a run of 12 league games without a win. The reverse fixture in May finished 1-1 in Belém.
