Slavia Prague vs Arsenal preview: Czech leaders still chasing a first Champions League win since 2007
Match preview
Slavia Prague host Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday, a year to the day after Arsenal won 3-0 in Prague. Jindřich Trpišovský's side are top of the Czech First League and the only unbeaten team in it, and they won 5-0 at Jablonec on Saturday after two league draws. Europe is a different story: Slavia have one point from three games, after a 3-2 home defeat to Lens, a 2-0 loss at Sabah and a 2-2 draw at Fenerbahçe, and they sit 32nd. They have not won a Champions League game since 2007. Mikel Arteta's Arsenal have seven points and are ninth after beating Napoli and Lille and drawing 2-2 at Bayern Munich. They went top of the Premier League, three points clear of Manchester City, with a 1-0 win at Liverpool on Sunday, their first league win at Anfield in 14 years. Their only blip in recent weeks was a League Cup exit on penalties at Fleetwood Town.
