Do you wait for the team sheets before making a pick?

Most of my picks are on shots, so one change up front can change everything. I've started waiting until the lineups are out, usually about an hour before kickoff, before I make a pick. The downside is I sometimes miss a game entirely if I'm busy. Do you wait for the team sheets, or pick earlier in the week?

Corners don't change as much with one player out, so I usually pick the night before. If a full-back who loves to overlap is missing, though, I'll have a rethink.

For the early Saturday games the team sheets come out before I'm up, so I pick the night before and live with it.

With Atleti I always wait, because the team sheet tells me how cautious we're going to be.

@toronto_trev That makes sense. If I couldn't see them in time, I think I'd rather skip a game than guess.

Most games here kick off late at night or before dawn, so I pick the evening before. If a big name ends up on the bench, that's just part of it.

I check them, but I try not to change my mind just because one big name is on the bench. Usually my reason for the pick still holds.

Thanks all. Waiting where I can, and skipping when I can't, sounds like the plan for me.
